Lesse. Concert went well, yesyes. And we're playing Korean Variations for graduation. Of course, now I have to figure out how to play the first part for Bacchus, which is the recessional. *does not like playing by herself*

Visited illinois Weslyean yesterday. Nice place, I liked it. Dunno if I like it more than Knox or not. The two have some similarities, but very different feels. Of course, part of that was probably that Weslyean is in their May Term so a lot of people were doing off campus stuff. But the best way I can describe it is that Knox has a more adventurous, energetic feel whereas Weslyean has more of a home-y feel to it. Not to say it's any less exciting, but it feels liek the place wants to give you a hug while Knox is more grabbing your hand and running (in a friendly sort of way). KNox has a specifically creative writing major, while Weslyean just has english with a focus on writing. I like both places, though.
The though of college is exciting and sorta scary at the same time. I mean, highschool will be over, which is both a good and bad thing. None of my friends are looking at the colleges I am, which is good and bad. So, like my preferance for Knox vs Weslyean, it could swing either way.

But enough of that. Today some of my mom's friends that I know really well are coming over to watch some movies, so I'll be doing that with them. Will be fun.

So. Best girl scout meeting EVAR. While discussing ways to improve the community (not to do anything. The activity was to think about it) we decided that an idea sometimes mentioned before in passing would actually be totally AWESOME and completely practical.

the Girl Scout Mafia.
Underground cookie network- part of which would be set up as a bail fund for one girl who said she would need it
Power in the neighborhood so we could get stuff done (like the improvments we had to talk about)
Influence over the kids- A Girl Scout feeder program!
And so on and so on.

We also realized that if the politicians were kicked out and our troop instituted in the White House, we could get a whole cra[load of stuff done  in, like, two days. Everything managed to relate back to the GS Mafia.

Today we had/have realy short classes to finish some stuf for our schedules fofr next year- senior year (HOLYCRAP). Tomorrow we get out at 11:30 or something because of some ACT thing (bleh) and a buch of people are coming to my house to work on a brit lit project, and then play Apples to Apples.

So yeah, got through two crazy weekends and things are pretty good now. Got an A on my paper (ZOMGYaY) and have a band concert next week.  RIght now I'm sitting in a desk waiting to be dismissed. We have to wait for everyone to be done, I think.

And I'm going to Duckon in June and thinking about putting some stuff in the art show. Yah. Is good. Now I shall go read Invisible Man for US History.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Taking public transportation provides some very interesting listening.

But I think one of my favorites was when these (then) seniors somehow got into a discussion about stalkers and one of them said "Well, if someone was stalking me I'd take it as a compliment that they would take time out of their day to do that," or something along those lines. Yeah that was an interesting bus ride.

EDIT (1/31/09): Okay, got a bus one to trump that. This guy sat down behind me who was very definitely a drug dealer. He was talking about how some place (presumably his house?) got raided and 'they' found half a 'brick' and he was on the bus because the cars were still there. And he kept calling to arrange meetings or call back later.
And he smelled.

So I was sitting there going okaaaay... I'm glad I'm getting off soon. But seriously dude. Be more discrete.
